DESCRIPTION: Native to dry open woods and rocky slopes in Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. It is among the finest textured grasses, producing a dense green fountain of hairlike leaves ending in silvery inflorescences. Blooms June to September becoming straw colored and remaining through fall and winter. Very drought tolerant.
